During my life, I would have peace but it would be fleeting. I would try to attain it again and work so hard that I would celebrate the victory of having peace once again. Then, it was gone. I heard people tell me that the peace of God was lasting. There were times His peace stayed with me for longer periods then it was gone. I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong.
For years, I had done meditation, started doing yoga, taking nature walks and doing my best to relax which went against my grain because of my personality disorder - Dissociative Identity Disorder - which I didn't know I had.
All of these activities are great to do to allieviate the chaos in our lives. I encourage you to partake in them to help you attain peace.
For me, little did I know that would entail integrating 13 alternate personalities! The inside noise and chatter that I had known since I was a child has stopped! My anxiety levels have gone down tremendously!
Since the integration, I am peaceful inside! My home is peaceful and I can finally truly relax because my brain allows me to because of the integrations.
Not everyone has Dissociate Identity Disorder/Multiple Personality Disorder and yet, they don't live a peaceful life for whatever reasons are going on in their lives. We can all work on stopping the negative chatter in our head, take walks in nature, go outside and breath the air, find a peaceful place in our head.
